Republican Rodney Glassman ran for election for
Attorney General of Arizona. He lost in the
Republican primary on August 2, 2022. Glassman, former Democratic Tucson City
Councilman, U.S. Senate candidate and perennial
candidate who's interested in any office he can
find, resigned his seat on the Council to become the
Democratic nominee running against U.S. Sen. John
McCain in 2010 (spoiler: he lost). Rodney also ran
for Maricopa County assessor in 2020, but fell short
in the Republican primary. Glassman had
unsuccessfully lobbied to be appointed to that seat
earlier in the year. Over the years, Glassman has
transformed himself from his early political
attempts as a progressive Tucson Democratic ally of
U.S. Rep. Raul Grijalva,
to become a darling of the
most conservative Maricopa County Republicans. |

Attorney General Candidate Rodney Glassman's
Fundraiser With Paul Gosar Concerns For Some In
Jewish Community |
"Politics can make for strange
bedfellows. In Arizona's attorney general race, that
has come in the form of Jewish candidate Rodney
Glassman and Rep.
Paul Gosar, R-Ariz, who has
aligned himself with an outspoken antisemite.
Glassman, one of the Republican candidates running
in the Aug. 2 primary, was endorsed by the six-term
congressman who currently is representing the Grand
Canyon State's 4th district. And on Saturday,
Glassman held a fundraiser featuring Gosar at the
American Legion post in Prescott." |

Rodney Glassman Doesn't Understand The County Assessor Job He Seeks |
"My
fellow board members and I were surprised to read the recent opinion
piece from a perennial candidate-for-office now running for Maricopa
County assessor. The op-ed shows not only a basic misunderstanding
of the job for which he is running, but also the role of the board
of supervisors." |
