Far-right, MAGA Republican Cory McGarr is a member of the Arizona House of Representatives, representing District 17. He assumed office on January 9, 2023. His current term ends on January 13, 2025. McGarr ran for election to the Arizona House of Representatives to represent District 17. He won in the general election on November 8, 2022. McGarr is a member of the of the radical, pro-insurrectionist "Freedom Caucus". McGarr is running for re-election to the Arizona House of Representatives to represent District 17. He is on the ballot in the Republican primary on July 30, 2024.

Southern Arizona Lawmaker Seeks To Ensure If Trump Off Arizona Ballot, Biden Would Be As Well
"A Marana lawmaker wants to ensure that if Donald Trump is knocked off the Arizona ballot, the same would happen to Joe Biden. The proposal by Republican Rep. Cory McGarr spells out that if the nominee for president from either major party is disqualified from the 2024 ballot, then the name of the other party’s choice “shall not be printed on the ballot in this state.” And if it’s too late to keep the name off the ballot, the legislation says that “any votes for that nominee or that nominee’s electors shall not be tallied or included in any canvass.”

"A Republican lawmaker is planning to file legislation in a long-shot bid to remove President Joe Biden from the 2024 ballot in Arizona" [ . . .] "McGarr said it’s retaliation for Colorado and Maine booting former President Donald Trump from the ballot in their states." [ . . . ] "While McGarr has not filed legislation, his campaign is raising money off of his proposal to remove President Biden. “The real insurrection is NOT what we saw on January 6th, 2021. The real insurrection is what’s happening at the border right now,” one of the emails claimed."

This bill, had it become law, would be the same as laws covering a cabaret but with the words "drag show" instead of "cabaret". This is simply a sneaky attempt to outlaw drag shows.
