Scott Smith

 
  Republican Scott Smith was a 2014 candidate for Governor of Arizona. Smith was first elected Mayor of Mesa, Arizona in 2008 and was re-elected in 2012. He declared his candidacy for governor one year into his second mayoral term. In April, 2014, Smith stepped down as mayor in order to focus on his gubernatorial campaign.
