Ron Gould was a 2016 Republican
candidate for District 5 of the Arizona State
Senate. Gould was previously a Republican member of
the Arizona State Senate, representing District 3
from 2005 to 2013. He previously served as a member
on the Lake Havasu City Council. Gould was
term-limited and could not run for re-election in
2012. He instead decided to run for Arizona's 4th
Congressional District. He was defeated in the
primary by incumbent Paul Gosar.
"“I cannot imagine me allowing this to be
done to my children so I can’t allow it to
be done to the public anymore,” [...] Gould
called such plans “antithetical to free
people” and said it wouldn’t work anyway.
That’s the reason why he is against testing
of the general population"
"Gould sponsored a bill to ensure that
marriage will be reserved for heterosexuals
only. He perceives being gay as harmful and
points to statistics which, according to
him, prove a homosexual male’s life
expectancy is 42 years [...] Gould is a
self-described climate change denier. “Even
if we have it, it is not man-caused,” he
said. “Man can’t change the weather.”"

"Ron
Gould, candidate for the GOP
nomination for Arizona's
Congressional District 4,
drinks deeply from the "2nd
Amendment remedies" well,
proving conclusively that he
hasn't any actual ideas,
only a ball of undefined
rage which needs to be
directed through the barrel
of a gun.
Gould's latest ad features
him toting a shotgun around
the border (presumably
hunting for them durned
'illegals') and then
demonstrating his opinion of
"government run health care"
by shooting a copy of the
Affordable Care Act, then
smirking the exit line,
"Because Washington needs a
straight shooter." The
double entendre – suggesting
that we need to send someone
to Washington to shoot the
place up (maybe some
liberals? maybe the
President?) – couldn't more
clearly appeal to the basest
eliminationist streak in
right wing politics."...
"Sen.
Ron Gould, R-Lake
Havasu City, yanked
the two measures.
Gould said he lacked
the backing of four
other members of the
Republican-controlled
panel...Gould said
he will keep trying
to secure votes."
