Republican John Nelson is a former
member of the Arizona State Senate representing
District 12 from 2009 to 2013. He served as Mayor of
Phoenix, Arizona, on the Phoenix City Council and in
the Arizona House of Representatives from 2001 to
2008. Nelson was listed on the 2012 candidate list
as having withdrawn late. Nelson's name still
appeared on the ballot. His name also appeared on
