election to the U.S. House to represent Arizona's
3rd Congressional District. She lost in the
Republican primary on August 28, 2018. San Miguel
was also a 2016 Republican candidate who sought
election to the U.S. House to represent the 3rd
Congressional District of Arizona. San Miguel
dropped out of the race prior to the primary. |

in a lawsuit that 1,653 of the signatures gathered
by Edna San Miguel on her nominating petitions are
invalid. The suit claims many of those who signed
nominating petitions for San Miguel do not live in
the district, as required. It also alleges some
signatories are not registered voters or signed
