  Republican Scott Anderson is a member of the Gilbert City Council in Arizona. Anderson assumed office on January 12, 2021. Anderson's current term ends in 2025. Anderson won re-election to the Gilbert City Council in Arizona outright in the primary on August 4, 2020, after the general election was canceled. Anderson served as mayor until January 2021, when he returned to his position as city council member. He was first elected to the city council in 2016
