Brenda Burns

 
  Republican Brenda Burns is a former member of the Arizona Corporation Commission, the state body charged with regulating the state's utility companies. Burns was elected to the commission in 2010. She was sworn in the following January and served a single four-year term. Burns decided not to seek re-election in 2014, and left office when her term expired on January 5, 2015. She served in the Arizona House of Representatives from 1987 to 1995, also serving as Majority Leader from 1993 to 1995. She then served in the Arizona Senate from 1995 to 2003, also serving as Senate President from 1997 to 2003.
